Who is ALBA Musik?
ALBA MUSIK presents original flamenco that moves fluidly between deep-rooted tradition and contemporary song. Grounded in the language of historic flamenco palos, their work honors the form’s lineage while opening space for new stories, textures, and sonic landscapes.
Led by vocalist Bárbara Martínez and guitarist Albert Alabedra, their compositions are shaped by personal narrative and the shared memories that connect us, drawing on the rhythmic and emotional intensity of flamenco while weaving in influences from across the Americas. Featuring flamenco dance in dialogue with voice and guitar, and performed alongside a cast of world-class musicians and dancers, ALBA MUSIK creates a richly layered experience that is intimate, powerful and resonant across cultures.
Based in New York City, they have toured internationally, performed at the United Nations and for the President of Spain and received First Round GRAMMY® consideration in Latin Pop and Global Music for three consecutive years.
